FOOD PARCELS

  • We partner with the Hamilton Combined Christian Foodbank to provide essential kai (food) support for whānau in need.

    Families can receive up to three food parcels over six months.

    This service helps alleviate food insecurity, ensuring whānau have access to nourishment during challenging times.

    Applications are made kanohi ki te kanohi (face to face) at Te Puna Waiora.

    • Whānau (Families): Ensuring that families facing food insecurity have access to nutritious food.

    • Individuals in Need: Supporting those who may be experiencing financial hardship or other challenges.

    • Elderly and Vulnerable Groups: Providing assistance to seniors and those with limited mobility or resources.

    • Community Members: Anyone who requires temporary support to ensure they have sufficient food.

Parenting Programme

  • A unique kaupapa for Aotearoa whānau. Across six engaging sessions, you’ll reflect on your past, explore pathways for change, and be inspired to achieve your whānau’s aspirations. Guided by a hauora Māori framework, the course covers:

    • Building your whānau with aroha

    • Strengthening well-being

    • Setting healthy boundaries

    • Enhancing connection through communication

    • Hauora – self-care, and much more.

    • This course is for whānau who want to strengthen their well-being, communication, and relationships, guided by Māori principles.

CHOICE - Social & Emotional well-being programme

  • This programme empowers tamariki (children aged 7-12) to build emotional resilience, navigate friendships, and handle life’s challenges with confidence.

    Through fun, engaging activities like games, stories, and videos, they learn practical skills to manage feelings, reduce worries, and stand up to bullying.

    With a focus on mindfulness, Te Whare Tapa Whā, empathy, and positive relationships, the program helps tamariki grow into confident, caring individuals.

    One-to-one sessions and in-school options are also available to support their development.

Toolbox Parenting Programme

  • It is re designed to help parents build a strong, loving family dynamic while having fun along the way.

    Through six practical and inspiring sessions, parents will explore topics like love and connection, setting boundaries, managing emotions, and understanding behavior.

    Each program is tailored to a specific age group—preschoolers, primary-aged children, or teenagers—giving parents the tools to navigate different developmental stages with confidence.

    These sessions provide valuable insights to strengthen family relationships and support children’s growth.

    • The Toolbox Parenting Programmes are for parents and caregivers wanting practical tools to strengthen family relationships and better understand their children at any stage—preschool, primary, or teenage years.

Learner Driver Licence

  • Our aim is to ensure whānau are safe and legal on the roads by helping participants gain their learner driver license.

    Through comprehensive instruction over two days, participants review the road code using interactive games and study materials.

    On the second day, they visit AA to sit their Learner Licence test.

    This program provides vital support and practical knowledge to help whānau navigate the process with confidence.

      • Young Adults and Teenagers: Individuals aged 16 and above who are eligible to apply for a learner's license.

      • New Immigrants: Recent arrivals who need guidance on New Zealand's road rules and driving regulations.

      • At-Risk Populations: Those who face financial or social barriers in obtaining a driver’s license.

      • Community Members: Individuals seeking support and resources to pass their learner driver license test.

  • Times can be negotiated with small groups.

    One group session every school holidays.

    One group session at Fairfield College each term.

  • Our team of qualified Financial Mentors offer FREE confidential, non-judgmental advice and have got all the tips, advice and tools you need to improve your financial situation

Te Reo Maōri programme

  • Te Puna Waiora Desert Spring’s Te Reo programme is designed to nurture the Māori language at all levels, focusing on Kauae Runga, Kauae Raro, Reo Opaki, Reo Okawa, and Reo Auaha.

    It encourages learners of all ages, with a special emphasis on enrolling adults: “Whāngaia te reo Māori ki ngā mātua” (nurture the Māori language in parents).

    The programme strengthens the connection of whānau to their cultural roots. By fostering the learning of Te Reo Māori.

    it ensures that whānau know who they are and where they come from, standing tall in that knowledge.

    This initiative promotes cultural pride, revitalizes the language, and empowers individuals to embrace their heritage, enriching the community’s sense of identity and unity.

    With a focus on encouraging adult learners, it nurtures te reo Māori within families and across generations.

Vege Garden Workshop

  • Join Beatriz for the Maara-Kai workshops, where you’ll gain practical skills to grow your own kai (food) at home.

    Whether a beginner or experienced gardener, you’ll learn about growing potatoes and kumara, seed saving, companion planting, composting, pruning, and more.

    This workshop empowers participants to cultivate their own māra (garden), fostering creativity, self-sufficiency, and healthy eating.

    By deepening your connection to the whenua (land), you’ll build sustainable living practices and food sovereignty, ensuring whānau can stand tall in their knowledge of kai growing.

    • Children and Youth: Teaching the younger generation the importance of sustainable living and gardening skills.
